I’d go to another nail salon for a better pedicure. Mine felt very basic and was done by someone who seemed inexperienced. The staff could use more professional training, and the treatment needs more polish. Honestly, it’s something you could do yourself.

The massage and hair treatment were fabulous. I feel so relaxed now. Definitely recommend!

Putu made my three-week stay great, even arranging for my Kangen water to be brought to my room when I was out. The room above the spa was spacious and comfortable, and the A/C worked really well. I loved the busy neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants and Blend cafe right next door for an amazing pistachio latte. From my balcony I could have coffee and watch the street wake up in the morning, and a couple of times monkeys walked right past on the power lines. That was so cool. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Putu!!

She had a lot of strength for her size, but seemed not to know how to use it. Instead of working the muscles, she pressed on my bones, and pushed my head down into the bed. When I asked her to go softer, she ignored the feedback and continued her way. She kept checking her phone, like she had somewhere else to be, and already had her helmet on when we finished. The hands and feet got about two seconds each, and the rest was just oil and rubbing up and down. One of the worst massages I’ve had. I feel for her, since it seems she may never have had a massage herself and could probably use one. The staff need training.

Putu and Komang are incredibly hospitable and will help with whatever you need. I once left something behind at the homestay while I was 40 minutes away, and Komang drove it to me so I wouldn’t lose time going up North. He did it with a smile. How sweet is that? That would never happen where I come from. It already feels like my second home, and I won’t hesitate to stay at the Dijumah Homestay again. Thank you 🙏 The location is hard to beat if you’re new to Ubud. It’s easy to get around on foot or by scooter, and the beautiful walk to Ubud Yoga Centre took me 15 minutes. I met local people and cute doggies along the way. The homestay is above Blend Cafe, with the most beautiful smoothie bowls you’ll ever see and eat. There are restaurants all around, with everything from warungs to Western, European, and fancy options. Scooter rental and laundry are 30ft away, there are two convenient stores down the street, plus fruit and veggie stands. You’re right by the Monkey Forest, a must do that makes staying here feel unique. It’s away from downtown’s hustle and bustle, but has everything you need. I walked into town a few times, which took 15-30 minutes depending on where I was headed. The rooms are bright, clean, a good size, and have comfy beds. I stayed in two. One was larger and had a balcony where I could open the curtains in the morning and see monkeys moving through the trees. Both rooms had great AC. Putu cleaned a couple of times a week and brought fresh towels and sheets. The other room was smaller but still a cute size, with a little inward-facing balcony, fridge, and table. And the massage downstairs! Every girl who treated me was amazing and strong-handed. It’s my favorite massage spot by far, at inexpensive prices. I like these massages much more than the ones in Thailand, which were too aggressive for me, and they cost half as much.
