Indra Homestay

Walking through the front gate felt like stepping into a little oasis. Indra Homestay is close to the main streets, and Yoga Barn is within walking distance if you’re into yoga. My friend and I stayed a few nights and didn’t want to leave. The family made us feel so welcome, and our room was clean and well kept. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely go back!

The highlight of our trip was the hospitality from Putu and his family. We stayed four nights in a spacious place with two rooms, room for up to four people, comfortable beds, and a balcony where we could relax. It’s in the heart of Ubud, about a 10-minute walk from the Monkey Forest and 15 minutes from the palace. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, with birdsong in the morning. Putu also took us around Bali for a reasonable price: he arranged a late-night airport transfer and another transfer to Kuta, plus a trip around Ubud to a waterfall, rice terrace, luwak coffee, and tirta empul, and a separate trip to Besakih and two waterfalls. Great value and a great stay. I highly recommend it for Ubud.

The family made the biggest impression, everyone was so kind and always ready to help. The house is right in central Ubud, and both the room and bathroom were really clean. Highly recommended!

I wanted connecting rooms when I booked two, so I asked the owner if they had a connecting door. They didn’t, but offered two adjoining rooms linked by balconies. I was disappointed at first because that wasn’t what I’d asked for, but took them anyway. I ended up very pleased: the room was beautiful and had a kitchen on the balcony where we could cook.
