The White Villas Ubud

The White Villas matched their photos, which wasn’t the case everywhere we stayed on this trip. The villas were stylish, comfortable and exceptionally clean, with beautiful scenery around them. We loved the landscaping, the plants indoors and the soft, candle-like lights around the grounds and pool at night. The service and food were excellent, including a delicious breakfast brought to our veranda table every morning. From the infinity pool you can look across a tropical jungle valley, yet town is close by. The villas sit up a quiet road away from traffic noise. It was a wonderfully relaxing way to end our Bali trip, and we’d happily stay again.

The villa itself was comfortable and pleasant. Our disappointment was with the car service: we paid IDR 450,000 for The White Villas’ white company car, but the next day it was replaced with an ordinary black car without warning. No one had told us we needed to request the white vehicle again. There was also no help with our luggage when we left. We hope management improves communication and keeps the service consistent with what was advertised.

We spent a week here, and the staff were so kind. The villas have a cozy, quiet feel and a nice boho style. It’s an easy walk to the main street, and the team responds quickly on WhatsApp and helped us with everything. The bathroom door doesn’t block sound, so you’ll need to be comfortable with your roommate. There’s a small car and motorbike parking area. Airport and local transfers are available, though they cost more than Grab or Gojek. I’d happily come back and recommend the place.

It feels like a little hidden oasis in Ubud. The staff are kind, the rooms are spacious, and I loved having breakfast served on our terrace in the morning. Lovely place, and definitely worth the money and experience.
