Tu Sandat Homestay

I booked at the last minute for a low price and wasn’t expecting much. Instead, I found a huge, bright, clean room for about half what it should cost. Breakfast was good, there was scooter parking, and it’s pretty close to everything. Hard to find much to complain about.

I booked three nights but stayed two, since the rain in Ubud, Bali, made me decide to leave. The owner was fine about it and even apologized for the weather, as if it were something he could control, lol. I’d just come from another three-star hotel where a rooster woke me up and the AC was noisy. Here it was peaceful, clean and quiet. It’s a basic place, but everything worked just as it should. Like the Dutch saying goes, “Just keep it nice and normal, that’s already crazy enough.” I couldn’t agree more. I booked directly with the owner, who welcomed me with a big smile and a warm heart. The location is right in the center but tucked away from the busy streets, on a long road lined with food options. Across the street is one of the best massage spots I’ve been to, with amazing quality for such a low price.

A lovely place in a convenient spot, close to everything. The people were amazing and helped us with whatever we needed. Our room was clean, and it was definitely good value for the price. ♥️

We liked the room so much that we extended our stay. It’s spacious and clean, and they come by every day to tidy it. We got fresh towels every other day, and the bathroom was above standard. The AC doesn’t blow straight at the bed, which was nice, and we slept really well. The staff were lovely too. Only thing missing was soap. We’d definitely come back.
