Clody Lodge

The town is well placed for visiting the tourist attractions, and people were very welcoming. There’s a lovely restaurant around the corner called The Holy Grail. The lodge itself was clean, with fantastic service and a fabulous location. I couldn’t find anything to complain about, and the setup was so good I’d happily come back. Thanks for the great service, Charlie.

There’s free parking, though the lodge is on a very busy high street. The rooms are nice and the staff are friendly. There aren’t any food options at the lodge, including breakfast, but there’s a lovely cafe on the high street within a five-minute walk.

We booked at the last minute and arrived within two hours. Charles was lovely, and our room was clean, bright and airy, with a coffee machine and a good shower. He also recommended places for dinner and breakfast right across the road. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

We’d stay here again for the location and the lovely feel of the recently renovated decor. It’s a nice little hotel in central Bunclody. There’s nowhere to eat in the hotel, so you have to go out. Since we were there on a Monday and the pub restaurants were all closed, we tried Sorrentos, a sit-in takeaway down the street, and it was lovely. The room was dark on one side, with no lights there, so using the coffee machine early in the morning meant I needed my torch app. An extra lamp on the desk would fix that. The lift was also very slow. We only used it with our bags on arrival and departure, and the stairs were quicker.
