The people running the hotel were friendly and attentive, and the room itself was spacious, comfortable, clean, and nice, with its own bathroom. It's well connected by transport and close to the beach, though a bit far from the centre on foot. For what it costs, I found it too expensive. The hotel is old and needs renovation. The outside looks a little strange, and inside you can hear everything.

The food was fantastic, and the service matched it. The staff were consistently helpful, polite, and friendly, and happy to answer our questions. We had a fantastic day and night here. Our room looked beautiful and was incredibly neat and clean when we arrived. I can't think of anywhere I'd rather stay next time. They can count on me booking again.

The owners were pleasant and polite, and the location is good, but I was very disappointed with my one-night stay. I didn't get any sleep because the room was in such a state. The sheets, towels, pillows, curtains, and shower curtain were all stained. There was also a very damp, musty smell that made it even harder to feel comfortable or sleep. For the amount I paid, I wasn't satisfied.

A little tired-looking, but the rooms were clean and tidy. The owners were friendly and had plenty of useful information. Salthill beach is very handy, and buses into town run frequently.

The food was good and the staff were lovely and polite. It's a cheap and cheerful place in what might be Ireland's best location. The walls are wafer thin, though reception has a lovely stove feature. It's dated, but I think that gives it charm. It's no "Galway bay - Salt hill" hotel, yet I wouldn't overlook it. I'd stay again. I'm easily pleased, so it was always going to do well with me. Here's the truth.
