The proprietor is fantastic, and the location puts you right in the middle of the city. It’s a little tucked-away hostel in a building that I’m pretty sure is older than my native language. Most beds are hostel-style, though there are a few private rooms too. The thick walls can make it hard to get a signal, so you may need to head up to the roof. The Old City’s plumbing also means used toilet tissue goes in the bins in the stalls. Those quirks are part of the experience and, to me, well worth it. Bring cash if you can, since the card reader was often down when I was there in 2022.

A simple, charming place in the middle of Jerusalem, with a gorgeous rooftop terrace. The doorways are low, so if you tend to bump your head, this may not suit you. For everyone else, I’d recommend it.
