Rob's Place felt welcoming and homey, and I’d definitely come back. I’d like to meet "Rob" too, since everyone seems to think he’s awesome. The dorm is cramped, though, and I was more concerned to learn from other reviews that there’s a camera watching everything. I hadn’t known about it beforehand. I think that should be mentioned during booking or posted on the bulletin board.

The great vibe made our three nights in the dorms a blast and excellent value for the price. There are several instruments to play, including a piano, plus a clean space, a nice kitchen, and good water pressure. Rob helped us plan our trip around Israel and shared stories about his life. My husband and I had a great experience.

This place has been a real safe haven for me when I felt I’d lost all hope, and I’m deeply grateful to the hostel and its owner. Rob is loving and compassionate, and he’ll go the extra mile to make guests comfortable and help them have a good time. I’ve watched him respond to pessimistic guests with complete calm and sincere kindness. He’s a bit of a flirt, like me. The hostel has its own energy and brings together all kinds of people. It really is a judgment-free zone. Places like this are rare, so cherish the chance to stay at this hidden gem. 🙏

I wouldn’t stay anywhere else after this. It’s a simple hostel, more like a flat with three bedrooms and a living room, and the guests end up spending time together like one big family. It’s not a sparkling five-star hotel, and you don’t have to worry about messing up an expensive carpet with your shoes, which makes things more relaxed. Rob is what makes the place so special. He has a welcoming, safe, and happy way of making everyone feel at home. He’s an amazing, intelligent, slightly crazy host who listens and helps you have the best time. I honestly don’t know how he finds the energy to give so much to his passion every day.

Rob's place is affordable, familiar, and homey, with a chance to meet whoever else is staying there. It’s close to the metro and bus, so getting around is easy. Rob is open-minded, intelligent, and passionate, and has great travel and budget tips. If I return to Jerusalem, I’d come back here without a second thought.
