The St. George Hotel is under a 10-minute walk from the Al Aqsa Masjid compound. The rooms were clean, the wifi worked well throughout, and there were plenty of toiletries. During Ramadan, the Iftar (breakfast) buffet had an excellent, healthy selection. The staff were friendly.

I loved the rooftop pool and its splendid view of the old city. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the service responded quickly. Our spacious executive suite was well equipped, including an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was varied, fresh, and tasty, and they even had my favorite Medjoul (King dates). Herod's gate is five minutes away, and nearby shops and cafes were still open during Shabbath.

The rooftop pool is spectacular, and the breakfast buffet was excellent, with an omlette bar. Staff were friendly, and the location in East Jerusalem is great, just a five-minute walk from the Damascus Gate. The rooms are well appointed, though they may feel small if you’re from North America.

The location is right in the heart of Jerusalem’s old city, but I wouldn’t return. The rooms were decent, though some bed covers had stains and didn’t seem to be replaced daily. Staff service was mixed, sometimes professional and sometimes not. At these prices, I expected basics like bottled water in the room. They said water was provided only on the first night, so guests should bring their own. Breakfast was awful, very commercial and dull tasting, so I skipped it after the first day. For a country known for great food, they need a chef who can offer authentic local dishes.
