Tur Sinai Organic Farm Resort

The food was superb at the wedding we attended one evening. The rustic setting was comfortable and had lots of lighting, with the event split between indoors and outdoors. That setup wouldn’t suit very cold weather, and the uneven paving, slopes and many levels make it challenging for people with access issues. Still, it’s a welcome Jerusalem venue for a more relaxed, less formal event.

A pleasant enough wedding venue, with a very rustic, outdoorsy feel, tucked away on the edge of the city. Getting between the different spaces meant walking over rough, unpaved paths and hills, which was difficult.

I really enjoyed the walk, with great weather and amazing views. A guide led us around, picking up plants from the ground and giving them to me to eat. You can eat basically everything growing there, with more than 200 species. It’s an open-air garden, a rare kind of place in Jerusalem, and you can host an event for up to 150 people or have something smaller.

Getting there by public transport is difficult, and a taxi can be quite pricey, but being there makes it completely worthwhile. It’s mesmerizing, with an amazing valley view and grape vines hanging all around. The place is mostly used as a wedding venue, and it’s simply beautiful and quiet.
