Holiday Inn Express Ahmdabad Prahlad Nagar by IHG

I wouldn't recommend visiting this hotel. They have a policy against helping guests heat up their food, and they wouldn't explain the reason. At 2am, people were sanding and painting a wall and the staircase door next to my room. I had to ask them to stop. Didn't they think guests needed to rest? They also wouldn't change the bedsheets when I requested it. They just turned them over.

Manav made the stay much easier. He welcomed us warmly, sorted out a double room even though none was available at first, and quickly fixed the problem with our access card. Check-in was smooth, and his helpful, professional manner made a real difference. Thank you, Manav! 😊✨

The room felt cramped, and the toilet and wash area are in separate spaces. For a luxury hotel, I also expected a bath mat and lotion. The shower kept stopping after about 20 seconds, then running again 10 seconds later. I booked at the last minute through Agoda, and the price was reasonable. The gym is tiny, with one working treadmill and another that only partly works. It seemed like Holiday Inn keeps it because it has to.

The room was missing basic towels when we arrived: there was only one, so I had to call for another, and there weren't any hand towels. They also skipped cleaning the room altogether. The carpet smelled, the rooms are cramped with hardly any room around the bed, and the shower kept switching between hot and cold throughout our stay. I've stayed at many IHG properties, and these rooms were far below what I expect from one.
