Hotel Khushboo

Hotel Khushboo worked well for us as an affordable, no-frills stay in Ahmedabad. We were in Navrangpura, on the 4th floor of the Emreld Building on Chimanlal Girdharlal Road, above Karnavati Pagarkha and near Choice Restaurant. Its central location was convenient and easy to reach, whether travelling for work or leisure. The staff were welcoming and professional, and check-in was hassle-free. The place felt quiet, safe, and secure, which suited both families and couples. We found the premises simple, clean, and well maintained when we arrived. Our room was basic but had what we needed: clean bedding, effective air conditioning, a TV, a telephone, and a functional bathroom. The simple decor and lighting made it feel cozy, and after a day of travelling and sightseeing, the peaceful atmosphere was welcome. For a clean, affordable place with a convenient location and a friendly, secure environment, I’d recommend Hotel Khushboo.

I booked through the OYO app because the discount caught my eye, but when I reached the hotel they refused to let me check in. They said the app price was too cheap, told me to ask OYO to provide a room, and said they wouldn’t give me one. After going back and forth with OYO, I got my money back, but I still felt awful about the whole thing. I’d booked and paid, yet couldn’t check in just because it was an online booking. Why should I trust the OYO app now? The OYO manager should speak with this hotel’s manager. Sorry to have to say all this.

The room was so tiny that the main door nearly touched the bed, and the bathroom door too. Two people could barely fit. There was no Wi-Fi, no Swiggy or Zomato, and no packaged water. The pictures on the apps and Google don’t look real, and I think the positive reviews there are paid or fake. Book and suffer. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived around 10 PM with a booking for three, but the room was too small for us. The hotel asked us to cancel through OYO and move to the property below. OYO customer service didn’t reply for an hour, then the hotel let us stay without cancelling. The room was just okay. At checkout they pressured us to give a five-star review on OYO. I didn’t argue because I didn’t want to start the day fighting, so I wouldn’t rely on the OYO ratings.
