Hotel Eastern Palace

The location is great, with plenty of hotels nearby, but I wouldn't choose this place again. There were cockroaches in the room, the linen was dirty, and there was no hot water. The staff were slow to respond and not helpful. At ₹1,000 a night for two people, you can find much better options nearby. No need to book in advance, just look around the area for a cheaper, better hotel.

I stayed for two days. The location is excellent, with restaurants and Madiwala bus stop easy to reach. The rooms are neat and clean, though a little spacious. Hot water isn't available around the clock, so we had to call reception for it.

The staff's attitude was awful from check-in through check-out. The floors were sticky and the rooms weren't clean. There weren't even locks on the room doors, just holes where the locks should have been. The bathroom window looks straight at the opposite building. Who knows whether the glass was tinted or mirrored.

I only needed to freshen up before my visit, so I checked in without entering my details. They put me in a filthy room with cigarette butts everywhere and no amenities at all, then charged me ₹600 for an hour in that mess. I could have booked an Oyo for the whole day for about the same price. Whoever runs this place needs to get their act together.
