The power kept cutting out throughout my stay at Le Cypress, and the room's light switches didn't work either. It got bad enough that I checked out early. The room was unhygienic too: the bedding had visible oil stains and wasn't changed even after I complained and reminded the staff several times. The towels looked dirty, as if they had been discarded by other hotels. The toiletries were half empty and seemed watered down, while the washroom had no slippers or dental kits. Staff were unresponsive and unprofessional. Even simple requests took at least three reminders, and I couldn't rest because staff could often be heard fighting in the corridors. This was the worst hotel stay I've had. I strongly advise travelers to avoid it. It felt like a complete breach of trust and offered no value for money.

Le Cypress worked really well as a base for our five-night stay. Its location suited us, between the family we were visiting and the wedding venue we attended. Our room was comfortable, well cared for, and had everything we needed. Everyone on staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, and they made us feel at home. We'd happily come back. One small thing: the lift's “bing bong” is loud if it gets used at 1am. It might be worth asking the lift engineer to turn it off, though it wasn't a major issue.

For the money, the service was far too poor. Online prices were much higher than the rates offered offline, and the dirty rooms, dirty washrooms, and awful housekeeping made my one-night stay for a competitive exam miserable. The linens were disgustingly dirty and made me feel itchy just thinking about sleeping on them. The seat was unhygienic, and there was no towel or AC remote in the room. Power cuts happened often, and room service wasn't proper. The staff were okay, at least. I was misled by the high ratings, and I'm still amazed how they got them. Look elsewhere when visiting Bareilly. And before the owner says I never stayed, I have all my bills.

The staff were friendly and very polite, always willing to help, which made the stay more pleasant. The location was excellent, with major attractions nearby and easy access. It was a comfortable and convenient place, and I'd definitely recommend it.
