Hariharan Residency

A peaceful place that felt good to stay in. They didn't give me the Wi-Fi key. I asked, but maybe the staff forgot 😊

The complimentary food was good, and the function halls were nice too. Rooms and restrooms were very neat and tidy, and room service was exceptional. The lift is a useful extra if you're travelling with older people. There's good parking for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, and the property is just 20 metres from the main road.

The room services were satisfying, and the bed was comfortable, with hot water available. It's a nice option for couples or solo travellers. I was given a mosquito repellent machine, which helped with the mosquitoes. At reception there's a chocolate display box, plus a fridge with soft drinks and water. Meal combo packages are good, and newspapers are delivered to the room. I got The Hindu. The location is in a residential area, so there aren't scenic views. If it's raining, you have to cross sewage water from the main road because metro rail extension work is happening. All in all, I was satisfied with the rooms and service.

The air-conditioned hall worked well for the stage and for a small gathering of 70-80 people. The dining area on the ground floor was air-conditioned too, though it had cluster seating rather than rows. Chairs outside gave people a place to wait until a dining seat opened up, a thoughtful touch. There's covered parking for around 8-10 cars, with open parking nearby for another 10-15. The approach is through a small lane, so it may not look car friendly at first, but it opens up after about 30 metres. I was there for a close relative's engagement, so this is about the hall and function setup, not the rooms or stay. It's a good fit for smaller engagements, birthdays, or other functions, rather than a huge crowd.
