Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chennai

Naanal Decors gave the celebration a special feel with lovely flowers and creative lighting. The whole venue looked elegant and well organized, and every detail seemed carefully arranged. Their professionalism and care for quality showed throughout. Guests kept complimenting the decor and asking who had done it. We’re really happy with their excellent service.😇😇

The food was a mixed bag: Fish Fingers were decent, but the Murgh Dum Biryani was really bad, and the chicken didn't taste fresh. I'd gone to Ramada for dinner because a friend recommended the rooftop ambience, but the experience was disappointing. The water had visible dust and dirt in it, and it took the waiters a while to replace it. Service was also slow, with hardly anyone coming to our table. One waitress said she was a fresher and didn't know much, which explained the poor service but didn't make it better. I wouldn't consider coming back.

My wife, kids, and I had a great stay, and the hotel felt very family-friendly. We especially enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool, where the staff helped my 8-year-old daughter with swimming. The food was excellent and checkout went smoothly. Booking for just 7,500 points per night felt like an amazing deal.

The airport transfer we had booked the day before was forgotten in the morning. In the end that saved us money, since we paid 500 instead of 1,500. That was one of many disappointments at this hotel. The bathroom drain didn't work and the whole room flooded within two minutes. A maintenance worker came right away, but couldn't fix it. Our friend was woken at 3 a.m. by a mouse or rat running through the ventilation duct on the 7th Floor. At the rooftop bar, beer cost an unbelievable 800 Indian rupees and came lukewarm in a cracked glass. Nearby restaurants had wonderfully cold beer for 250 rupees, so I'd happily skip the view. This was supposedly a 5-star property, the most expensive place we stayed during two weeks in India and Sri Lanka, and unfortunately the worst. At nearly double the price of other hotels, this was absolutely unacceptable. Even one Star is too much for this adventure!
