The location is handy, close to the Chikmangaluru bus stand, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants nearby. My standard room was clean and had the basics, though there was no key-based light switch. They supplied drinking water on the first day, then charged for it the next day. The stay was satisfactory, but the facilities could be improved.

For the options in chikmaglur, it was a good enough experience. The location is convenient, the room is a decent size, and the bathroom has all the amenities. Staff responded even late at night. The blankets were a little unclean, and breakfast isn't provided, though there's a nearby South Indian place with great dosa.

The room itself was clean, decent, and suited our holiday, and there are plenty of food options nearby since the hotel has no food on site. Parking caused the biggest problem. There was a space, but it was so limited that cars blocked each other. Nobody warned us, and staff could have explained the situation or moved cars around to suit guests. I couldn't get to my car when I needed it, so I ended up hiring a taxi. The lack of communication and parking hassle affected our stay.

For two days in town, we found it comfortable and reasonably priced. Hotel Vasanth Vihar is decent and family-friendly, with dedicated parking and good service.

A very basic room for a steep rate. Rooms that cost 800 are being charged at 1500+ on weekends, and they charge for the welcome water bottle too. Please consider vijayalaxmi comfort, which is much better and cheaper.
