Delhi Empire By OYO Rooms

The room looked nothing like the pictures. The TV didn't work, the bathroom walls were in bad condition, and worst of all, they switched off the AC at midnight because we hadn't paid the full amount. At check-in, they said we had to pay 1174 Rs, even though the booking showed 1052 Rs. They argued with us and then said the full bill was due at check-in. Very bad experience.

The room was dusty and dirty, with a TV that didn't work, a broken AC that didn't cool at all, and a badly cleaned bathroom. The charges felt fraudulent too. The website showed a total bill of 900, but at check-in they said I had to pay extra for GST and other things. Those GST charges weren't shown in the app I booked through. This was the worst experience I've ever had.

After we'd checked in, they refused to give us a room and kept us waiting in the lobby for half an hour. Then they charged another 350+ rupees in GST, even though I'd paid the full amount through the OYO app. Everyone behaved rudely, and the staff seemed fraudulent. There was no AC, geyser, TV, room service, or basic hygiene in the room or bathroom. The room service boy was also cheating guests, in my view. I booked through OYO. Don't come here.

After reaching the hotel in the middle of the night and finishing the paperwork, the manager and receptionist said I still owed money and had to pay before checking in. I'd already made and paid for my booking in the OYO app. I called OYO customer care and explained what happened. They called the hotel, but for a long time neither staff member answered. When I put the call on speaker, they still refused to speak with customer care. The customer care agent heard my conversation with the manager and receptionist. I switched my booking to another hotel.
