Joey's Hostel

The staff were very good, humble, and polite, and the food at the in-house restaurant was tasty with plenty of variety, so you can stay without worrying about meals. Joey's Hostel is a good option for solo travelers or families. Sindhi Camp bus stand and Jaipur Junction Railway station are about 500 to 600 metres away. They also organize various events and activities for travelers.

I tried both a dorm and a private room on two stays, and both were okay. The bathroom was fairly clean, the staff were really nice, and breakfast on the rooftop was fine. It’s very close to the Taj Mahal, which is handy if you want to go around opening time, about 5-6 am. I’d recommend that, since the days are hot and it gets crowded even before sunrise.

Joey’s was a great place to land when I first arrived in India and needed time to get my bearings. They run fun, inexpensive day tours and evening activities, and the friendly staff were happy to help arrange onward travel. After I got back to Delhi, they even let me hang out there for the day before my evening flight, free of charge. Cheers to the team.

The social atmosphere is what makes this one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The guys working there made us feel welcome, were always up for a chat, and helped with anything. We even played football with them, which was great fun, and the rooftop is great too. Abbey deserves special thanks for showing us around Old Delhi and getting everything spot on. His speech at the end stayed with all of us and showed the reality many people face. If you’re after an authentic, brilliant experience, this hostel is a great choice.
