Spot On 23725 Jay Shanti Palace Hotel

Only the AC worked well. Nothing else was up to the standard of a good hotel: no room service or Wi-Fi, the TV was installed but didn’t work at all, there was no intercom, and the wash basin had no mirror. The mattress was so hard, with springs that made noise all night, and the blanket smelled bad. It’s not a luxurious hotel, and staying here could ruin your night’s sleep.

The rooms are decent, but there’s only a table and nowhere to store luggage. The toilets are in poor shape: flushing barely works, and the buckets and bathing mugs are so dirty they can’t really be used. The solar geyser doesn’t work either, so hot water is brought up in buckets, which isn’t acceptable. There are several other hotels nearby to choose from.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were very courteous. There’s no intercom in the rooms, and although the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, the staff can arrange food or you can order through Zomato, veg or non-veg. The manager was pleasant too.

For a budget hotel, it’s a good option overall. The location is nice and the rooms are clean, though some basics were missing: no chair, no bathroom towel or doormat, and the TV didn’t work.
