The food was a mess, and the stay was horrible. Management and staff made the whole experience awful. The receptionist was drunk and spoke very rudely, which made this feel especially unsafe for women and children, including school groups. Kodaikanal is beautiful, so don't spoil your visit by staying here. Not worth even one star.

I've never stayed in a hotel this bad. The staff were really rude, and there was nothing in the way of room facilities. We had never had such a poor stay before. Nobody should go there.

The rooms and service were very good. There's an electronic card lock on every room, and the door locks automatically, so don't go out without the card or you won't be able to get back in. Taking the card out of its holder shuts off the room's power supply, a nice power-saving setup.

The rooms were just okay, but the other services weren't good. There was no hot water all the time, and we didn't get soap or a towel.
