The Aldott Hotel

The room had flies, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping. It was slow too, never reaching more than 10 Mbps, so working remotely from the room would be very difficult. For a corporate booking, the stay was particularly disappointing. I’d requested an early check-in beforehand and was told it would be arranged, but when I arrived I was asked to wait without a proper explanation. At check-in, staff offered a balcony view room, first saying it would cost extra and then calling it complimentary, but only on the condition that I post a positive review before even seeing the room or trying the service. That felt highly unprofessional. The online ratings didn’t match my experience. I raised my concerns with the team, but staff still asked me to leave a review at checkout even after I clearly said I didn’t want to. This was one of my worst hotel stays. Corporate travelers in particular should think carefully and not rely only on the ratings.

I’m asking for the hotel to approve a cancellation so ClearTrip can process my refund. My booking was through ClearTrip for Aldott cyber city, Gurgaon Sector 24, with check-in on 2nd February. I arrived at 1:30 a.m. on 2nd February, but the receptionist wouldn’t let me in, saying the booking was for “tomorrow” and that check-in was only after 2:00 p.m. This was very distressing, since an early-morning arrival is commonly treated as part of the same night. I contacted ClearTrip support straight away. Their executive emailed the hotel requesting acknowledgment of an official cancellation approval, then issued a voucher to move the booking date from 2nd Feb to 1st Feb, as I had asked. The receptionist refused to acknowledge or reply to either the email or voucher, repeatedly saying he “did not have the authority.” He also insisted I pay ₹4,500 in cash to book another room offline, although I had already paid ₹4,485 online for the same room. I refused because that request was unreasonable and inappropriate. The receptionist told me a manager would arrive in the morning to handle the acknowledgment and cancellation. Later that morning, ClearTrip told me the hotel manager had denied the cancellation, putting my refund on hold. I was stranded overnight and couldn’t use my booking. I’m requesting that the property approve the cancellation and acknowledge ClearTrip’s request so my rightful refund can be processed promptly. I hope this can be resolved amicably and fairly.

Miss Sanjana was especially kind and cooperative with our requests. The location was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable, with cordial staff who were happy to accommodate us. I’d recommend staying here.

We held my brother’s wedding at The Aldott Hotel, and it was a memorable time for our family. The staff handled the arrangements and coordination smoothly, and took care of the details. Guests were happy, the rooms were clean, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended for weddings.
