The Dew Drop Hotel

I booked the entire hotel for two days, two months ahead, to avoid complications. Still, rooms weren't ready, beds weren't made, towels weren't provided and some lights didn't work. There was also a leaking gas cylinder smell in the 2bhk airbnb that needs fixing. Service fell short, and I felt there was little professional care. The payment terms weren't transparent. They insisted on cash, and the staff were rude after payment. They say they offered goodwill by extending the stay, but that only came after asking guests to pay extra to check out at 2pm instead of 12pm. There was no goodwill gesture otherwise. They took an advance to organize a party, then cancelled it on the same day and refused to return 50% of it. For my party of 30, I had to move the location on the last day after they changed the prices and terms. They also insisted we hire their decorator and caterer, who then backed out at the last moment. The "Aggressive Negotiation" happened on the day of the event, two months after we'd agreed to the full booking. My guests were happy with their time in Guwahati because my family and friends put in the effort. I spent most of my wedding day worrying about how to host everyone, with no thanks to you. I'd done business with over a dozen vendors that wedding season, and this was the only bad experience. Best wishes, and I hope you do better in future.
