Vibhuti was especially helpful with taxis, places to see, and dinner suggestions. The beds, wifi, location, and staff were good, and they made sure you got what you wanted. We stayed late in the season and booked the cheapest room, but it had only a small bed, no western shower, and no hot water, so we paid an extra 200 rupees to upgrade. Hot water can run out sometimes, so check that the wall switch is on and wait if needed. Get up early for a clearer sky. The Hong Kong restaurant across from the hotel was a favorite, especially the chicken drumstix.

For the rent, the lodge was good, but the room felt too small and we weren't satisfied with it. It was neat and clean, and an old lady who maintains the hotel treated us very gently. There was no geyser in the room, only hot water from a common geyser in the morning. It's in the center of town, very near the bus station, so there's no view, and no food is available there. Right in the middle of the main town, this is an affordable place with clean rooms and basic needs like hot water and free wifi. There's no room service, though a restaurant is just outside the hotel. If you want to stay in town and have your basic amenities covered, it works.

It's only about 100m from Kalimpong's main bus stand or taxi stand. The rooms were neat and the bathrooms clean, though room service could've been better. A pretty good stay overall.
