The pool water was cloudy, with insects floating in it, and the room was awful. The sheets, pillowcase, and blankets had hair and brown marks left by previous renters, and they made my whole body itch. Cleanliness seemed nonexistent. Please don't stay here, even if there are no other hotels available. This place wasn't decent at all.

Leaving was a relief. We spent two days there, and going back to the room to sleep was the worst part. The only decent thing was the weather, which the resort can't take credit for. The room was dirty throughout, from the walls and bedding to the facilities. There was a bad odor, flickering lights, a fan with only one speed, and unstable voltage. Frogs and insects in the room made it worse. The food was awful too, though the tea was fairly decent, and the resort facilities were pitiful. The owners, both the uncle and aunty, seemed to care about money much more than customers or hospitality. I understand other Malshej ghat options can be quite expensive, but staying here was distressing in every way.

In all our 20 years of Diwali vacation picnics, this was easily the worst experience. Malshej Agro Resort was so filthy that public toilets are cleaner. The rooms and toilets were dirty, and there were frogs and even dogs inside. Basic things like a working flush, towels, and soap weren't provided. The toilet ventilation was completely open, so someone could see inside, which is unacceptable. This place has dragged down the word “resort” and even the reputation of Malshej Ghat. I would never recommend it.

The location is the best part, and you can really enjoy it. The rooms are okay for staying and sleeping, but not somewhere I'd enjoy spending time. The swimming pools aren't maintained.

It's a peaceful spot in a lovely setting, which is a real plus for anyone wanting a nature break. We recently visited Malshej Agro Resort, but the rates felt high for the facilities on offer. We also expected rooms to be available when we visited, but there weren't any. It's a decent place, though the pricing could better match the amenities.
