The breakfast was just okay and could be better. Also, although I booked for two, they’d prepared the room for only one, with just one towel and toothbrush. The rooms themselves were clean, tidy, and well maintained, and the location is great for walking to the beach and other local places. Pleasant stay overall. I hope they pay closer attention to the number of guests next time.

I’d stay here again if I return to calicut. The man at the front desk was helpful and receptive, and free breakfast was included. The rooms were decent, with working AC, hot water, and TV, and everything did what it should. The rooms were good. Customer-oriented service at reception stood out to me. These days, I often find people at front desks, malls, and food counters don’t care about customers, so it was nice to have someone who did.

I booked three rooms for my trip to Kozhikode. The room ambience was good, and being within walking distance of the beach was very convenient. Still, a couple of practical issues affected our stay. Parking fits only about five cars. Arrive early and you might get a spot; otherwise, you’ll need to park roadside or on a narrow path behind the hotel, which isn’t very comfortable. There’s also no lift from the ground floor to the first, only from the first floor upwards. The stairs are quite steep, and that wasn’t mentioned when booking. My parent has leg problems and found them very difficult to climb. I can’t say whether you should choose the hotel or avoid it, but keep these points in mind and be ready to adjust.

This was our third visit, and we liked it. My wife and I stayed at Hotel Grand Plaza, Calicut on 4th and 11th January 2026, and we plan to keep coming back. It’s about 500 meters from the beach, with shops of all kinds within walking distance. The location is very convenient, just steps from the beach. The rooms were clean, very nice, and well maintained. Staff, especially at Reception, were courteous and attentive. Breakfast on the 4th floor was good, and the food from its partner restaurant at Zamzam was amazing. Great value for money, helpful staff, and a great location are its main strengths. Dr Rajeev Vij.
