OYO 14715 Serene Inn

There are good places to eat within walking distance, and the price was very reasonable. We had no other problems, but the heater and bathroom light in one room didn't work. They said an electrician was on the way, but he never showed up. It's a decent overnight stay, and a good setup for a family of four with two bedrooms and a hall.

The beds, blankets, and restrooms were filthy, and the TVs were damaged. The restroom was horrible. This place doesn't deserve even one star or an OYO tie-up. It feels fit only for street fighters who want to drink, and not for women or men. Ladies and families, please don't stay here. It's not for us.

Dirty pillow covers and a broken AC and TV in one of our two rooms made this easily our worst experience so far. The TV only had Tamil channels. We kept having to ask for towels, AC and TV remotes, the OYO kit, and running water. Even after repeated complaints, the manager said he was the manager and that serving customers wasn't his duty. He was rude, careless, and unhelpful, and staff were often absent. The security guard brought coffee because nobody from the staff was there, and no breakfast was served. The receptionist was away from the desk half the time, so people staying on the first floor had to come down and ask us about him.

The rooms were okay, but on some days the price was steep even when rooms were empty. You can't generally rely on what reception staff at these cottages promise, and that was true here too. Business owners seem more focused on making the most profit than keeping their word to customers.
