Treebo Trend Le Celestium

Our stay at Le Celestium was disappointing. The manager received my feedback, but nothing improved. The photos are deceiving: the outside looks good, while the rooms inside are old and poorly kept. There was a decent view from the third-floor balcony, and they did provide everything we requested. But the bed was too small and uncomfortable, barely enough for one adult and one child despite being given to two adults. Hot water ran only for two hours in the morning and two in the evening, and otherwise only on request. When we called at 5 AM, they said there’d be no hot water until 6 AM. It even shut off midway through a bath, which is unacceptable in a hill station where 24-hour hot water should be available. Only one of the three loose charging points could fit a bulky charger. The electricity kept going on and off, and the food didn’t taste as good as expected.

The hotel looks attractive and fairly premium from outside, but inside the room was a letdown. The room and bathroom were in very poor condition, with an old, badly maintained bathroom setup. Open ventilation made both spaces extremely cold, and the bathroom felt like a makeshift second-hand arrangement. The hand shower leaked and had very low pressure, and the washbasin water flow was weak too. Management gave us several guidelines after check-in but didn’t follow them properly themselves, and their attitude felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. WiFi needed a username and password, which was fine, but kept disconnecting. When we came back late, around 11:00 PM – 12:00 AM, the corridors and common areas had no lights. We had to use our phone torch to unlock the door, which felt unsafe and unacceptable. Basic facilities, maintenance, safety, and management need serious improvement. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless major changes are made.

The balcony view was very irritating because the surroundings were covered in garbage. The room rent was comparatively high, and the hot water supply was a real disappointment. With the cold atmosphere around, reliable hot water is a must in a location like this, but it wasn’t properly available.

We were very comfortable during our two-day stay. The service was very good, and the food was good too. We recommend this as one of the best hotels to stay in munnar. Thanks to Le Celestium.
