I had lunch at Nagercoil Ananda Bhavan today (22.11.2025). The vegetarian meal was good, but the Paneer 65 I ordered never came, even though I finished eating and it was still charged on the bill. It was comparatively expensive too, which made the missing dish and the poor service even more frustrating. It left me with the impression that customers may be billed extra without getting proper service, though I can't say that was intentional. With more reliable service, this could have been a pleasant meal. I had a poor experience, and Arya Bhavan or Gowri Shankar seem to offer more consistent service and value. Worst service experience at Nagercoil Ananda Bhavan.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt safe as a woman here. It’s a basic hotel, but decent for a short stay. Hot water and AC both worked well, though the room and entrance could have been cleaner. It’s centrally placed near the bus stand and railway station, with autos available. Aryabavan is an easy walk away for tasty food, and there are other snacks and basic amenities nearby too.

I booked the party hall and food for my baby's 1st birthday. The owner was very good. The hall was a tight fit for 90 people, while the dining area could seat 40 at a time. The evening hall rental was ₹12,000, and food cost ₹150/- per head, with the price depending on the items we chose. Most of the food was good, but the Parota was very hard and not good. My friends and relatives who attended felt it had probably been cooked in the morning and reheated in the evening.

The location worked well for my business visit, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant serves only South Indian meals, and only at lunch. Parking a car is a bit difficult, and the place could use some renovation.
