It’s a convenient place to stay in the heart of town, close to nearby tourist spots, and the bus stand is almost next door, visible from the rooms. The ambience is nice, the in-house restaurant serves excellent food, and Mr. Chandramohan makes sure the food and breakfast are good. My three friends and I stayed for a night. What annoyed us was the receptionist’s behavior at check-in. After our long journey, he focused on lecturing us about the rules instead of welcoming us or helping us settle in. For a moment it felt like we were in a hostel and he was the warden, which I told him. There are better ways to explain rules to tourists who’ve come to enjoy their time. I hope the caretaker looks into it. Even with that issue, I’d recommend this place if you want to be near the town center.

The best parts for us were the convenient town location and the good quality food at the attached restaurant. Most major Ooty attractions were close by, which made sightseeing easy. We were a family of four, including two kids, and stayed at The Trident Ooty for 2 nights. The property was just okay overall. The rooms were comfortable, but there were no scenic views, so the stay felt like it was missing something. The food and easy access around town were the main highlights.

The location worked well for us, within walking distance of both the bus stand and railway station, and check-in and checkout were quick and smooth. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Everyone we dealt with, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant team, was polite, professional, and prompt. Special thanks to Chandra Mohan and the restaurant staff for making very tasty, high-quality food despite the shortage of commercial cylinders. The hotel arranged sightseeing through its travel agency partner. Our driver, Augustine, was patient and polite. Thanks to Augustine and Devaraj for making the trips so enjoyable. A very pleasant stay.

The food was the best part, and the service was exceptional. Our rooms were very clean and spacious too. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely choose trident again next time.

Check-in and checkout both went smoothly, and the staff were polite, helpful, and always smiling. The food had a great variety and tasted excellent. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. A wonderful stay, highly recommended.
