The Red Velvet Hotel Samarpan, Patna

The bed linen and towels were clean, toiletries included slippers, a shaving kit, and a dental kit, and dinner was excellent. Breakfast was decent too, with well-made food, juices, and milk drinks, especially the dosa. Check-in was handled efficiently by the hospitable MS. PAYEL, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is in a busy market area, but the exterior is below average for this price range. On-site parking fits about 8-10 cars; the rest is handled by valet at a nearby lot. Inside, things are average and quite gaudy, with shiny finishes. The red theme in the rooms and washroom looks tacky, especially the red toilet seat. Room and bathroom fixtures aren’t maintained to the standard you’d expect from a brand hotel, even though the prices are similar.

The staff were a real highlight, warm, polite, and ready to help at reception, in the restaurant, and with housekeeping. Breakfast had lots of options and the food was great. My recent stay at red velvet samarpan Patna was very comfortable, with spotless, spacious rooms and modern amenities. The hotel is beautifully designed and very well maintained. Highly recommended for business or family stays in Patna. I’ll come back on my next visit!

At the mandap, there weren’t proper seating arrangements. We had to call management repeatedly, and the team responded so slowly that guests were getting angry. The decorator singh showed different designs in pictures, but the actual mandap decoration was very poor. Singh didn’t arrange things properly and wasn’t even there to coordinate. Once the money was settled, he disappeared and never came back. Guests kept saying the arrangements were pathetic. The salad smelled spoiled, there were only a few coolers, and everyone was sweating, including the bride and groom on stage. We’d paid an extra 15k for a promised rose petal shower, but a good amount of marry gold was mixed in, and it only came from one side. The DJ was pathetic too. Even for the bride’s and groom’s entrances, the volume was so low that we had to rush to turn it up. We hadn’t wanted my brother’s wedding at red velvet because of the many bad reviews, but management insisted so much that we agreed. The wedding was on 20th April 2026, and once again we had a terrible experience. I’ll never recommend red velvet to anyone.

I went to a reception at this hotel yesterday, and the food left us deeply disappointed. It was the worst food I’ve ever eaten. Almost every guest complained about its quality and taste, and nobody seemed to enjoy it. Most of the food was left untouched and thrown away. People left upset, and the meal ruined what should have been a special family occasion.
