Hotel Deccan Royaale

I’m giving one star because half a star wasn’t an option. Dust was all over the room, including inside the cupboard, on the bed, and on other surfaces, making the place feel unclean and poorly kept. The breakfast menu was very limited too. The washrooms were in poor shape, with broken toiletries, and the bath water was often cold, making basic hygiene uncomfortable. Several cups were broken, and the dishes were dirty, which raised serious cleanliness concerns. The hygiene, maintenance problems, and limited amenities had a big effect on my stay. I hope the host takes this feedback seriously and improves things for future guests.

I was in Pune for a business meeting and stayed one night. People choose this place for its location, but my experience was terrible. I arrived late in the evening and found no towel in the bathroom. It only came after I called service three times. In the morning, there was no hot water, even though winter was just beginning. Staff came into my room wearing their footwear, making it terribly dirty, and I shared pictures of it. They offered hot water in a bucket, left it at the door, and still weren’t ready to talk. Every time, I was told to “speak downstairs.” Poor hospitality and service.

A well-equipped hall with the amenities needed for an official meeting for an organisation of around 100 people. Food and snacks can be arranged on request, and the preparation is very good.

The price they offered me didn’t seem worth it. The location is good, but parking could be an issue. Add 2000 more and you can get the 5* hotel pride at 7k, which I booked.
