Hotel Kirti Inn

Kirti Inn was a letdown when we wanted a comfortable, affordable stay near the railway station in Puri. The room was tiny, cleanliness was questionable, and even drinking water and dependable room service were hard to get. Checkout was frustrating too, since the front desk wasn't helpful. The neglected conditions don't justify the high price. If you're planning a relaxing trip, I'd avoid it.

The staff were polite and helpful, and we felt welcome throughout our stay at Hotel Kirti Inn in Puri. It was peaceful, safe, clean, and comfortable, with a location that kept us near the main attractions while still letting us relax. We had a wonderful visit and would recommend it to families or couples coming to the area.

Getting around was a constant hassle. The hotel has no food facilities, nearby shops, restaurants, or public transport, so we had to rely on delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy for meals and book Ola, Uber, or Rapido rides for the beach, temple, or market. It's also inconvenient if you're coming with an elderly person: I'd requested a first-floor room ten days ahead, but we were given rooms on the third floor. They promised to move us the next day, but never did. There was no lift or staff to help with luggage. The property was poorly kept. My room wasn't cleaned at all during our two days, room service was almost nonexistent, and a bin of rotting trash sat outside. Discarded beer bottles and used condoms around the premises made it unpleasant. The advertised amenities were unreliable too: we lost power for several hours one afternoon despite booking AC, the bathroom water kept cutting out, there was no Wi-Fi, and we got complimentary drinking water just once. One morning I needed to go to the temple early, but the caretaker had locked the main gate and gone to sleep. I called out repeatedly and waited nearly 30 minutes before it was opened at about 6:30 AM. Poor management, cleanliness, basic amenities, and disregard for guest requests made this one of my most disappointing hotel stays. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families, elderly travelers, or anyone expecting basic hospitality.
