OYO The Prestige Hotel & Convention

The food tastes good and the location is convenient, but the hotel needs a serious makeover. The rooms are shabby, old, and look dilapidated. Its elevator is tiny and so slow that taking the stairs to the top floor might be quicker. It can feel claustrophobic, and employees like waiters and cleaners use it so often that guests have trouble getting a turn. There are many nearby hotels offering better rooms at this price. They need to improve before they lose business. I usually don’t like writing bad reviews, but I hope this helps them raise the quality.

The room was awful, with dirty pillows and a washroom like a public toilet. The flush didn’t work, water kept dripping from every tap, and neither the TV nor the AC worked. There was no landline to order anything, so we had to call a mobile number for service. We complained several times but nothing was fixed. Food was overpriced, and they put ordinary water in the room. Mineral water cost 10 extra. Breakfast was complimentary but offered no choice, just one option such as alu paratha or egg toast, with tea. A very bad hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it.

At checkout, after we’d paid the final bill and left, staff chased us halfway to the station, stopped us by force, and demanded another ₹1700 without explanation. They verbally abused us in front of our family. The rooms were filthy and smelled like they hadn’t been cleaned in years, with cigarette burns everywhere. It felt like a rundown shack. Food took 2.5 hours to arrive and wasn’t worth the wait. Staff were rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, treating guests terribly. This was a nightmare of a stay, and I’d tell people to stay away.

The accommodations fell short, and although they said basic supplies were provided, there was no shampoo or soap. The receptionist was also rude.
