The room was clean and well furnished, but there weren't enough arrangements for a comfortable stay. There was no sofa or table and chairs in the room, and laundry wasn't available if you stayed more than two days, which made things difficult. The dining area is so small that four families can't sit at once, and meals cost too much. They charge extra for a room heater, while other hotels include it in the package.

The room and bathroom were tiny, and the furniture left hardly any space to move. I wouldn't recommend it with a child. The first room had a dirty mirror and rusty basin, so we changed rooms, only to get an even smaller one. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, but there was no tissue paper. The towel was so poor it looked like something for cleaning shoes. The location could have been good, behind central point hotel in the middle of the market, but there's no parking zone at the entrance. Imagine carrying all your luggage from another lane, then climbing ugly, uneven, slippery stairs, with more stairs to reception and still more to the room. Awful. They don't help carry luggage to your room or car at checkout, even though those stairs are hard even for a young man carrying bags. We had to ask them to clean the floor on the third day. They did clean it, though not the bathroom. We were out all day, so it was around 7:30-8pm when they got to it, and I appreciate that. We couldn't use the free breakfast, and the restaurant looked empty at night, so I doubt anyone orders food there. After 10 pm nobody was at the front desk, and the main entrance was locked until 6:45 am. We were stuck inside, unable to go to a pharmacy in an emergency. We were leaving for a cherrapunjee trip at 6:30 am, a busy time in Shillong, but the gate was still locked. An older man who spoke in bengal arrived around 6:45. By then our trip had been delayed by their hidden, unprofessional rules. When I asked about the opening time, he said, "we can't help if you wanna go out at 3 am". My question was, what if I needed medical help? I then mentioned the hammering from the night before. He seemed to know about it and just said, "if you are having so much trouble, you can change hotel". How can someone like that work in hospitality? I was furious and told him to think about what he was saying, and that I'd review them on every site I could. He became polite, and at checkout on our scheduled day tried to be courteous, but it meant nothing to me. The night before, staff had been gossiping, giggling, and laughing next to our room as we were trying to sleep. Then at 11 pm they started hammering or doing some construction. There was no one at reception, so we had to call our service provider. Our booking had been escalated, but they couldn't stop the noise. We were badly disturbed. If I had more time, I would have asked the provider to move us, but we were out on trips all day and had little time for this hassle. Shillong was beautiful, but I still wouldn't recommend this place, especially to anyone with children or older people. My overall rating is 0. You could die and get no medical help because nobody is at the desk and you're locked in ;-) Horrible and NOT RECOMMENDED !!

The hotel is in the center of the police bazaar, and the room was decent, though it needed maintenance. The washroom was clean, but there was no exhaust fan or geyser. They did bring hot water when we asked. For the price they're charging, I expected better service.

The rooms are nicely furnished, and the hotel sits right in the heart of the police bazaar, shillong. But the food was really tasteless and not good at all. They have a menu, yet I don't think they make it in their own kitchen. What I got came in a plastic packet and a disposable plastic container, like food from a fast food corner.

The staff were helpful and behaved well, and parking was available. The hotel is on the main road in Shillong police bazar, Meghalaya. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. The rate is a little high, though it seems reasonable for the quality.
