We visited in the middle of winter and had an easy stay, with polite staff, good food, and no other issues. It’s a mid-budget place. What more do you need?

Good value for a hotel in such a great location, and the employees are pleasant and easygoing. The preparation and service were good. One small food note: the Puri and Paraths are too heavy. They might taste better split into three instead of two, and the curry portion could be smaller so less gets wasted.

The rooms have a great view. The bedsheets and quilts should be aired and washed more regularly.

The beds and toilets were good, and the staff were courteous and well behaved. The food included in the room price didn’t meet the standard, though. We booked four rooms, and the TVs in two of them weren’t working.

Room 203, March 28 to 29, 2025. The bedsheet and blanket cover were never cleaned. We were made to use stained, unwashed items. Shame on the management of Meridian Hotel, Shimla!
