Hotel Pankaj

The restaurant's washrooms, including the shared one in the reception lounge, were super clean. The family restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, and there's no rush to give up your seat, so you can take your time. Fried rice was average, while the buffet food was a good deal better. The food prices are almost double what you'd pay elsewhere.

The location is great for getting around, and the staff were courteous. But this was one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed in. The old rooms were unmaintained and unclean, with stained bed linen, an awful-smelling bathroom, and ugly walls. It's also a bit noisy since it's on the main road. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

You'll want to call ahead and book because this location is in high demand. It's within walking distance of restaurants and services, and very near Trivandrum central station. The hotel sits in the middle of the city's financial and political center and has all facilities. The place was clean and comfortable, the service was great, and the people were very cordial. The in-house restaurant is good enough, though not great, and there's also a pub/bar attached.

The buffet was such good value for lunch, and I finally got to have chapati again after a long time. There were plenty of other tasty dishes too. Pankaj hotel has a nice atmosphere, and the reception and waiting area are pleasant. It's on a very busy street near the Secretariat area, but Wi-Fi is available and the staff were really cooperative.
