The Park Classic Udaipur

The good points are its location, away from the city center, budget-friendly rates, and decent food. But service was poor, especially at the front desk. They don't answer calls between 10 pm and 8 am. I was stranded and tried all four numbers they gave me, but nobody picked up. There were no toiletries even after I asked. The bathroom fittings were dirty and seemed not to have been maintained for a long time, and one wall had paan stains. Outside food isn't allowed. There's no heating equipment in winter, and the TV is old, with a remote that may or may not work. It's okay if you'll spend most of your time out. If you're particular about cleanliness, you may not enjoy it.

The breakfast was cold, uninspired, and the worst I've had at a hotel. On top of that, we were told at check-in that breakfast was included, then charged for it at checkout. Trying to dispute the surprise charge with the front desk was a headache, and they didn't seem interested in sorting it out. I won't return. There are plenty of other local hotels that are transparent about pricing.

The location was decent, but I paid extra for a lake view that was mostly blocked by construction next door. The room had dusty furniture and a bathroom that clearly hadn't had a deep clean. Staff were indifferent and took ages to handle simple requests. For those prices, there are better boutique places in Udaipur. And the breakfast was the worsttttt everrrrrrr.

We paid about ₹1700 for the night, which was the main upside and quite budget-friendly. The room, though, was old-fashioned and not well kept. Based on its condition and upkeep, it didn't feel like a 3-star place, and I was dissatisfied with the room and service. I stayed at The Park Classic Hotel for one night during my Udaipur trip. It isn't too far from the railway station, but it's not walkable, so you'll need a taxi or auto. I arrived around 10 PM and check-in was quick and smooth.
