OYO Flagship 82764 Live Inn Guest House

I didn’t stay at this hotel, but from what I’ve seen, Oyo hotels across Vizag are really bad for service and staff behavior. Google is helping people share genuine feedback these days, and thanks to everyone posting on Google Maps. I left without checking in and went to hotel ramachandra near vizag railway station instead. There I got a 1000rs room with all amenities, good staff behavior, and a 24-hour checkout option. I booked for one day instead of paying 3000rs for this place, with Oyo’s 12 pm to 11am checkout times that don’t work well for customers. At this property, I’d booked two days, Sep 10 &11th 2022, through Oyo at 900rs per day. When I arrived, the manager said he wouldn’t give me a room at that price and demanded another 700rs per day, making it 1600rs, or told me to go elsewhere. I called Oyo’s AGM from the property, who convinced the manager, but he still behaved rudely and said in front of me he’d give a room for a final price of 1500, but it would be poorly maintained with no or limited amenities. We eventually agreed on 1400rs, which meant 500rs extra per day on top of my booking. He changed the sheets and room, but then gave me a bad room without sheets, as if we were from a beggar family. I warned him and left. They treat customers like beggars and demand up to twice the Oyo booking amount. Such a horrible experience. Don’t book here, they’ll harass you with extra charges and terrible staff behavior.

The rooms and linens were dirty, there was no neatness, and the service was terrible. The receptionist behaved rudely with customers, even when they spoke politely, and was especially rash with women. Better to stay on the beach than at this very poor hotel.

Oyo should remove this property from its app. They refused to give me a room because I’m a non-local, even though the app says non-locals are welcome. I called Oyo, but they didn’t pick up, and the hotel wouldn’t speak with customer care either. Oyo just says sorry, but that doesn’t undo how frustrating it is to hear that after the same mistakes happen again and again.
