The hosts were professional, helpful, and quick to reply, and the whole stay went smoothly from check-in through check-out. ALVA Apartments was clean, comfortable, and just as described, in an excellent location. I’d recommend it and would gladly return.

Spacious room and bathroom, very clean and nice. Check-in was smooth, and it’s centrally located. I’d definitely recommend ALVA Apartments.

Finding and entering the apartments was straightforward, and they were clean and tidy. There’s plenty of parking, but the rules are a NIGHTMARE: you can only park for 3 hours between 9am and 6pm, and it’s very expensive. I ended up parking a 20-minute walk away. Best not to bring a car.

The staff we met were super nice, and the place is really well maintained. The room was very comfortable, and having the dishwasher was a blessing. It’s in a great spot too, with the main shopping street and a supermarket right next door. Street noise sometimes got very disruptive because the windows have poor soundproofing. The kitchen was good, though I would’ve appreciated salt, sugar, and oil, which our previous apartment had. Conditioner in the shower would’ve been nice; I did appreciate the curl diffuser. A short guide to using the chimney, coffeemaker, and other things would have helped. Still, a good place to stay.

We visited Iceland in December 2024 and stayed in the Alva apartment. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Restaurants and a shopping center were an easy walk away, and a supermarket right next door made it convenient to pick up anything else. Since we rented a car, parking right out front was a breeze. I’d highly recommend it for families traveling together.
