The host was generous and laid back, and the decor and fittings were nice. The sharers were interesting too. The location was convenient, though the house is split between two flats run by different companies. The shared entrance was dirty and unwelcoming, and some building fittings need repairs. There’s a key box outside, so you don’t see the owner or staff. Our studio bed was right beside a street drain, so traffic noise came through. That might not be an issue if the small window were bricked up. The upstairs rooms open off a shared kitchen through single doors, which means quiet time starts at 9pm. As soon as we arrived, other guests told us to read the rules and keep quiet. It was fine for our group, but I can see it bothering other people.
