Ice Apartments Reykjavik by Heimaleiga

We picked this place because it’s easy to walk to everything, but the late night noise was a real drawback for our family. It might suit younger guests better. The washing machine was another headache. After ten days travelling around the Ring Road in a camper van, I tried to do laundry before our flight the next day. The machine wouldn’t drain, and even after a repair person came to look, the clothes were still soaking wet. I spent our whole last day wringing them out, carrying them in a garbage bag to a laundromat down the road, then waiting THREE hours for them to dry instead of doing something fun. They really should have put an “out of order” sign on it. It kind of ruined the vacation vibe.

The staff were welcoming and quick to respond. Since we’d arrived early in Iceland, they let us check in early and leave late. The place was very clean and comfortable, right in the heart of Reykjavik. Thank you, Ice Apartments, I really enjoyed staying there.

We slept really well here. The apartment was warm, spacious and comfortable, with a cosy bed and sofa bed. The bathroom had heated floors, so taking a shower in winter was no problem. It had everything we needed, just as pictured, including a fully equipped kitchen and a TV with Netflix. The location made getting around easy. It’s right by the rainbow street, within walking distance of the attractions, and public parking was nearby. There’s also an Asian Supermarket just beside the apartment for groceries. We loved everything about it.

Great location, clean room, and having a washer in the room was a plus. There’s no lobby or place to leave luggage, and there was some street noise. The self check-in instructions could have been clearer.
