We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a cozy, family-run hotel with beautiful rooms and a breathtaking view over the fjord. The local products were delicious and gave the food an authentic taste of the region. ♥️

The hosts were warm and helpful, and we thought the food was fantastic. We especially loved the north-facing windows in our room. We got great photos of the Auroras right from the back patio. This is our favorite hotel in Iceland, and we hope to return someday.

So intimate and private, but elegant too, with wide views of the winding river and jagged, snow-capped mountains in the distance. Cows and sheep were part of the backdrop. It was a splendid, relaxing experience. We liked the homemade jams at breakfast so much that we bought some the next morning. They were very reasonably priced.

We only had one night here and wished we could have stayed longer. The views across the valley were lovely, and it was such a good place to slow down and relax. The food was very good, and the service was spot on.

Of all the places we stayed, meals we had, and spots for seeing the northern lights during our two weeks touring Iceland, this was the best accommodation. We were here in early October ‘25.
