Puffin Hotel Vik

The location is handy, right by a pub and a few restaurants. It's a good little stopover: the room was clean and comfortable, and tea and coffee were provided. Breakfast was fine for the price, though there was no hot food. The main nuisance was the noise from doors. They shut with a loud bang and rattle, so you hear them whenever someone goes in or out.

The room was small, with just one pillow on each bed, and the TV didn't work. There isn't much parking, and the place isn't handicap friendly. Still, it was warm, not overly pricey, and there was a chocolate on the bed. Breakfast was okay.

The breakfast was good, and the location worked well for us: we were near Trek, our excursion company, and some really good restaurants. The rooms were small and very dated. What annoyed me most was that there was no shampoo or body wash. When you're traveling around, you can't carry giant bottles, and for over $250.00 a night, I think there should be body wash in the room.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and as advertised. The hotel is within walking distance of Black Sand Beach and the local brewery. Breakfast was included, with a good selection: meat and cheeses, a waffle maker, Skyr yogurt, some cereal, juice, and coffee. Taking the price, cleanliness of the room and hotel spaces, and location into account, I'd give the Puffin Hotel five stars.
