Castello di Petrata

Castello Di Petratra has some of the best views and most peaceful surroundings I've seen. Everything felt first class, from the staff and rooms to the food and drinks. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the spaghetti with olive oil and garlic was especially good. We stayed in the Lavande suite out back, which had everything we needed and more. The wedding we attended there was a 10/10 too. If you're nearby, I'd absolutely recommend stopping in.

We came with a wedding party and opted for the glamping accommodation. The grounds are beautiful, the venue is amazing, and the amenities are great. We loved the pool, the small Finnish sauna, the jacuzzi, and the steam room in the wellness centre. The trouble was our bell tent. It had been set up poorly, with frayed ropes that eventually broke. We asked the staff to fix it, but they didn't come, probably because they had other things to handle. After getting back late from the celebrations, we found puddles inside. The tent walls were also drooping over the mattress, which was unpleasant. Guests shouldn't have to improvise repairs in the middle of the night.

We were here for a wedding, and the event planning was right on point. It was professional, but the team somehow felt like family. Every event was well arranged, and the food was divine, with something for everyone. The Castello is beautiful, with vines over the walls, all kinds of flowers and trees that seem naturally groomed, and lots of spaces and things to do, including a pool table, table tennis, and a pool. The stink bugs were the only downside. They're harmless, but annoying, though I guess that's part of being in nature. Highly recommend ❣️

The wedding food was unlike the usual wedding meal, everything tasted like it had been made with real care, and the welcome party was wonderful too. My son and his bride had 110 guests, and the day ran smoothly from start to finish. The owners were there whenever we needed them, making sure everyone felt comfortable. They also gave us great recommendations for the band, flowers, photography, and other details. The Brit Pops were amazing. We visited for our son's wedding on September 16th, 2025, and the setting was breathtaking. It's a family run place, with a spectacular old castle, lovely antique filled rooms, and beautiful grounds full of flowers and shrubs. The bride's entrance down the hill was dramatic and unlike anywhere else. The castle is old, so anyone expecting high end hotel rooms should stay elsewhere. Its history is part of its charm. Even during the busy wedding season, with one wedding after another, the family made us feel special and stayed focused on our needs. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. This is a wedding we'll be talking about for years.
