The location was very convenient, and the owner, Roberto, was very nice and tried to help with several questions. But my daughter and I were both bitten by some insect(s) while sleeping there. I had about 20 bites and she had approximately 30 in total. When we told Roberto the next morning, he said it was unusual for that time of year and pointed us to a pharmacy. I didn't feel that addressed the problem adequately, and I wouldn't suggest staying at this hotel.

This was our worst booking. We arrived after midnight expecting the room key to be left in the corridor of this so called hostel, but it wasn't there. When we called, the host said he was in Sicily and had forgotten to leave it, or something similar. It was hard to make out his mumbling. Then the call disconnected, and that was it. It almost seemed like a scam, even though we'd booked through booking.com.

The owner was nice and the location excellent, which is why I'm giving it two stars. The rooms weren't clean or properly maintained. The bedsheets were dirty, and so were the room and bathroom. Too bad, this could have been perfect.

A great place to stay if you want to visit the old town up on the hill. The location is good.

The place was clean and comfortable, with a great location in the uper city. There was no view from the window, though.
