Hotel Monte Tabor

Good.

Mr. Lucio was very friendly when serving our meals, and the owners were welcoming too. I spent the August bank holiday there with a group of friends a few years ago. A loud bell rang to announce lunch and dinner.

The public beach was hard to reach and dirty, with lots of rocks. Back at the hotel, the rooms all needed renovation, there was no shower enclosure or room refrigerator, and air conditioning cost extra. There was no WiFi either. Management and staff were very poor: the staff were rude and unprofessional, and the person organizing the group of elderly guests who weren't fully independent behaved badly. It was a thoroughly negative stay, and one I wouldn't repeat or recommend.

Dinner was a frustrating experience: guests had to arrive within a one-hour window, then wait for everyone else before food was served. The menu offered little choice and changed inconsistently, portions were often scarce or had run out, water cost extra, and the wait staff were rude, sometimes swearing when guests asked for things. Cutlery was frequently dirty, and breakfast was very poor. The rooms and shared areas had poor hygiene, stained bedspreads, outdated furnishings, and showers that were completely inadequate. Air conditioning was another €5 per day. There was no room safe, and keys left at reception were often unattended on the lobby balcony. They also wouldn't accept debit cards. Absolutely not recommended.
