The mountain and Ortisei views were breathtaking, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Our apartment was spacious, spotless, thoughtfully arranged, and had all the equipment we needed. After a day on the slopes, the outdoor pool and sauna were lovely for relaxing. We hadn’t expected to use the hotel shuttle to the gondolas much, but it made getting to and from our ski days much easier. A great base for skiing or hiking in the Dolomites. We can’t wait to return, and send special thanks to all the staff.

We came back to the Rainell apartments for a second time this year. The view of Ortisei at night is spectacular, and the apartments have all the things you need for a comfortable stay, from cooking dishes to towels and robes. The lifts are just 50 m away, and you can almost ski straight back to the door. Just be aware the slope is red and definitely not easy. My one suggestion would be to put a double mattress in the master bedroom.

The owner was very friendly, and the apartments were quiet and extremely clean, even the dishes. The garden is beautifully kept, with loungers for guests, and there’s a lovely view over central Ortisei and the Sella Massif. You can take a leisurely 20-minute walk along the forest edge to the center, or get there directly in under ten minutes. We’ll definitely be back.

The road down to the village is steep, though it’s manageable if you’re an experienced walker. We hadn’t realized that and, even though we’re otherwise young, found it a bit much. A shuttle service would be enough to help. It’s a very beautiful place, but you need a car to go down, and parking is quite expensive.

The wellness area really lives up to its name, and the apartments are practical but comfortable, with access to it. Service was excellent and very attentive. We cooked for ourselves, though the smells made the food seem delicious. We definitely want to return, but we won’t tell anyone!
