Mirabell Alpine Garden Resort

The spa is small but cozy and well equipped, and there's plenty of parking. Our room was clean, spacious, and well furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, making it a great stay.

The meals were delicious, and the staff were friendly at this really nice hotel. It's easy to get to the cable car. The only downside was that the beds weren't comfortable at all.

The pool was a mixed experience: we liked the co-ed indoor one, but the outdoor pool was much too chilly to enjoy. We didn't use any spa services, though the spa looked beautiful. I believe the sauna and steam rooms are Finnish style, so you can only enter wearing a bathrobe. My friend and I chose half board and were glad we did. Breakfast was fantastic, but nobody told us until our last morning that we could order eggs or an omelette from the kitchen. We were a little sad to miss that. Dinner is a set menu with two choices, and we were happy with everything we picked. Carlos and Irene in the restaurant were wonderful, and the staff generally were welcoming and polite. The hotel is spacious and beautifully decorated, and the premises were spotless. Our room was lovely and large, with a comfortable bed, a huge bathroom, plenty of closet space, and a garden terrace with a stunning view of the Alpe di Siusi. The free on-site parking was handy. There is no A/C. The days were a little warm, but nights were cool. We left the terrace door slightly open, though Calabrone are attracted to bright light, which may bother people uncomfortable with bugs. If that's a concern, ask for a fan ahead of time. We asked once there, but none were available. We visited in September of 2024, and the location in Castelrotto was convenient for several important towns in the Dolomites and the famous Alpe di Siusi. We had a great stay and would return next time we're in the Dolomites.

The quiet, peaceful setting was a real pleasure, and it was easy to use the local buses to reach nearby towns and sights. Hotel Mirabell was a highlight of our Dolomites trip. The staff were kind and courteous, and the views from the room balconies and pool are unmatched. The food was delicious, and we still dream about the croissants from the extensive breakfast buffet. Highly recommend staying here.
