Apartments La Borsa

We stayed three nights and were very pleased. The service was friendly, and the rooms were spotless and spacious. The building has an old-fashioned feel, but inside our room was modern and comfortably equipped. WiFi was good, and the place sits right on the corner of a lovely piazza in the center of Citta Alta Bergamo.

We reserved Apartments La Borsa on Airbnb, with Bita as our host. Our flight was delayed, and Bita said we couldn’t check in that night. We were left without somewhere to stay for our first night in Florence, so we had to find another place. She told us in person she’d refund that night, but after we left she refused and stopped replying to our messages. It was the worst treatment I’ve had from an Airbnb host, and my worst Airbnb stay. If you need a dependable place to stay while traveling, avoid these apartments and Bita.

The air conditioning barely worked, and sleeping in the heat was miserable. We also couldn’t get into the room on our first night, so Bita left us stuck and we paid for a hotel elsewhere. She said she’d refund that night, then later refused to honor it. I’m disgusted with the host and the whole experience. Avoid this place.

Really clean and nice, right in downtown Florence, close to everything. The restaurant attached to it serves delicious food, including steak, fresh seabass, pasta, pizza and ice cream in different flavors. They offer a 25% discount on food and drinks, and can provide what you need. They also give you water, coffee and even wine.
